We have a sister club in Australia!!!

I received an email from a gal named Susan in Australia about two weeks ago. She and her husband Lance as well as eight other friends from their club the Nu Breed Hot Rod Club are coming to California in April of 2009! We have been emailing back and forth and I think we are going to become lifelong friends. Their entire group is a lot like ours, if people don't want to go on a run then they don't go... it's a simple as that. They have American hot rods, (see the pictures below). They are flying into LA and then would like to see Las Vegas while they are here. I told her that they need to come up the coast and at least see San Francisco and then drive down to Bakersfield for the NSRA West Coast Nationals and then on to Las Vegas and back to LA for the flight home. They of course want to go to Disneyland and to Universal Studios. They will be here for three weeks, so there will be plenty of time for them to do LA, SF, Bakersfield and Las Vegas. If anybody has any ideas of things they might like to see or do while they are here please let me know. Once we get the actual dates they are coming we'll be able to plan a show and shine here in Watsonville and show them our rods and get to know them. They all love hot rodding, and drag racing, so I'm hoping there will be some nostalgia drags going on somewhere, possibly Famoso during their stay.

So, as I get more information from Susan I will try to post it here, so please check back often. And really, if you have a minute send her an email and introduce yourself. You'll be surprised at how much we all have in common. They are all wonderful people and I can't wait to meet them in person. You never know maybe the next trip will be a group of Road Angels heading down to Australia to see them!
